The screwball comedy, Pandora and the Magic Box (1965) introduced sexploitation auteur Joe Sarno’s unique take on Yiddish Theater to the raincoat crowd. Sarno would bring this blend of broad farce and burlesque to the screen again in his madcap spy caper Deep Throat II (1974) and the ribald spoof, A Touch of Genie (1974).
Deluxe 2-DVD set of three classic Joe Sarno films from 1974. On disc one you'll find Linda Lovelace and Harry Reems return for DEEP THROAT II with special cameo by Georgina Spelvin! Also included are special features, interviews, and a collection of trailers. On disc two, Rebecca Brooke stars in THE SWITCH: Or How To Alter Your Ego, a sexy Jeckyll and Hyde story. And finally, A TOUCH OF GENIE, a rare send-up of I Dream of Jeanie including hardcore favorites Tina Russell and Marc Stevens. Deep Throat II and A Touch of Genie are both 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen.
Until high-gloss 35mm productions stole the stage during the mid-1970s, 16mm hardcore features were usually screened in storefront "mini-cinemas" containing only a handful of seats and echoing with the muffled groans of amplified pleasure. These were the days before home video, when film prints were scratched and damaged by shoddy projection and when porn consumption was a public act requiring a certain reckless fortitude, an indifference to public hygiene, and a trench coat placed over your lap.
Carter Stevens is one of the true living legends of New York grindhouse filmmaking. Stevens’ raunchy, riotous productions throughout the ‘70s and ‘80s never skimp on hot action and have earned the director a permanent place in the X-rated AVN Hall of Fame.
Raunchy, Outrageous and Completely Inappropriate. He’s Nobody’s Favorite Uncle…Uncle Farts! In this animated and live-action collection, Uncle Farts lands a job managing an independent movie theater. With his teenaged nephew Scooper, “the boy wonder,” on board as projectionist, the socially challenged and completely inappropriate duo screen a series of 1970s soft-core Grindhouse films: Involuntary Bird – Corrupt cops, drug dealers and prostitutes pool their resources in this sleazy grindhouse gem.

John Holmes is not just the reigning size-king of Seventies porn, he’s probably its first legitimate star. Back before anyone had even heard of Linda Lovelace or Marilyn Chambers, "Johnny Wadd" meant box office gold from LA to NYC. Certainly Holmes\'s magnificent member - reportedly 13" long - was a viable element in his gargantuan appeal.

Features: The Sex Deviates, The Apartment , In The Girl Next Door The Sex Deviates is one of three cheapo “storefront” features contained in this Triple Feature Collection, but it just happens to be a brand new one (the other two – The Apartment and The Girl Next Door – being produced some time in the murky beginnings of the 1970s). A storefront feature was simply a no-budget 16mm fuck film that played in a ground level commercial space that had been cheaply converted into a cinema by throwing up a screen, a makeshift projection booth, and a bunch of folding chairs.

In recent years the slasher film has become an old and venerable genre, the subject of extensive critical analysis. There was a time, though, when random violence – tinged as it always seems to be with the odor of sex – was considered the bottom of the barrel of cinematic expression. It seems to have taken the spiritual malaise associated with the 70s to get the genie of sex-violence out of the bottle and up onto the big screen.
