Camp Motion Pictures Launches DVD-ON-Demand Series,
Release Schedule Kicks Off with Vampyre, The Drowned and P.I.A.
January 19, 2017 Fair Lawn, NJ – Independent home entertainment label Camp Motion Pictures announced the launch of a new manufacture-on-demand series, Camp Motion Pictures’ DVD-ON-Demand, with the objective of bringing previously unreleased movies to home entertainment and / or DVD format for the first time. Featuring fully interactive menus and extras, the series reaffirms Camp’s commitment to release collectible, independent DVDs and Blu-Rays to a dedicated, niche audience.
Kicking off the series is the Ghost Hunters parody Paranormal Investigation Agency (P.I.A.), directed by Chris Seaver in 2014 as part of the Camp Motion Pictures Micro-Budget Movie Initiative. Available for the first time to home entertainment, this lowbrow, hilarious movie tells the story of an incompetent but well-meaning troupe of ghost-hunters who tackle a series of paranormal mysteries with mixed results.  Release includes feature film, behind-the-scenes mini-documentary and trailer vault.
Next in the series are two films from writer / director Bruce Hallenbeck, Vampyre and The Drowned. In Vampyre (1990), a young man traumatized by vampires grows into an adult dedicated to fighting the bloodthirsty forces of evil. He's called to the remote New England village of Cortempierre, in which innocent humans have become the victims of witches and vampires. First time on DVD release includes feature film, trailer and commentary by Director Bruce G. Hallenbeck.  Also available to DVD for the first time is The Drowned(2005), Hallenbeck’s haunting (pun intended) tale of a young woman who inherits her grandmother’s cottage on a remote lake.  There she encounters apparitions that seem to emanate from a submerged church where a congregation drowned over 100 years ago…or did they?  Restrained, mysterious and genuinely creepy, The Drowned is a classic gothic tale reminiscent of Let’s Scare Jessica to Death. Release includes feature film, director commentary and trailer vault.
